Summary

Tim Allerton and his mother are sitting outside of their hotel in Assuan when they spot Hercule Poirot. Walking with him is an unknown but beautiful girl, who turns out to be Rosalie Otterbourne. Hercule and Rosalie are discussing how they are all passengers, including Rosalie's mother, on the ship to go up the Nile. The two continue to walk to drop off Rosalie's film for developing. As they are leaving the shop, they notice the boats on the Nile are mooring. As the passengers start to disembark, Tim Allerton joins them and they spot Linnet and her husband Simon. Rosalie says it's not fair for Linnet to be so rich, beautiful and have love.
