Summary

Chapter 29 is titled “Causing a Scene.” On Wednesday, Sweet Pea volunteers to be the first to give her end-of-year presentation. She is uncomfortable and winds up reading most of her information from the index cards on the back of her presentation. She hesitates a lot and is horrified when several students laugh, including Oscar. Kiera is confident when she goes next, talking about Mae Jemison who was the first woman in space. Ms. Young calls on the students to partner up for the games they will play on the final day of school. Sweet Pea is torn between Kiera and Oscar, but Kiera suggests she pair up with Oscar.
