The Voyage Summary

Eliza is dying in the ship's storeroom because of the ship's motion and all the smells that prevent her from eating or drinking. Because she is a stowaway, she cannot leave her tiny corner even to get a breath of fresh air. The punishment she and Tao Chi'en would suffer would not be worth it. Tao Chi'en sees her delirium and tries to heal her with ginger and root teas, as well as acupuncture, but she seems to be getting worse, not better.
