Senoritas Summary

Eliza is blooming into quite the proper English young lady. Rose demands she take lessons in deportment and culture, because she is determined that Eliza will be enrolled in a finishing school. Jeremy doesn't share Rose's vision for the girl, but he is overruled. Miss Rose and John find ways to further Eliza's education and begin building up her dowry, which includes hand-embroidered linens and jewels from all over the world.

Even though Miss Rose doesn't seek marriage for herself, she thinks that it will be Eliza's only path, since women don't have any rights or power in this time. She doesn't mention her failed effort at crashing that system and only hopes for a better situation for her adopted daughter.
