Chapter 5 Summary

Suze continues to cry until Jack buys her a Yoo-hoo and Butterfinger from a convenient store as they walk to the beach. They spend the day at the beach and when the sun starts to set, Suze decides she has to get Jack back to the hotel. While Caitlin is flirting with Sleepy, Suze waits in the car to go home. Paul comes to ask her out. When she keeps telling him no, he threatens to tell her boss that she took his brother off hotel property. He also mentions that Suze shouldn't encourage his brother about seeing dead people because he has a mental disorder.
