Anatomy of Addiction

One of the main purposes of this book is to illustrate how quickly a person can become addicted to drugs and how far they will go to acquire drugs to feed their habit. Kristina is introduced to drugs while she is visiting her good-for-nothing father. It is important to keep in mind that Kristina has already witnessed first-hand the effects that crank can have on a person. She sees how her dad uses all his money buying drugs. He lives in a bug infested apartment with no cable television because his money goes to drugs. Kristina witnesses as he goes for 48 hours with no food and no sleep after snorting crank.
