Summary

In Chapter 12, when Fin Cohen, Estelle’s husband, called to Anna from outside her door, it sounded like a glimpse of hope. Anna asked Fin not to leave and said she was coming out.

In Chapter 13, Anna dressed, got cash, her passport, an expensive leather jacket and the keys to Hamish’s car. Hamish believed that Anna could not drive, in reality, she chose not to drive because her license was in the name of a person who was missing. By the time Anna opened the door, Pretcha had joined Fin. When Pretcha tried to make small talk, Anna pushed her aside by telling Fin they needed to go.
