Clary

Clarissa “Clary” Adele Fray is the sixteen-year-old Shadowhunter daughter of Jocelyn, sister of Sebastian, and girlfriend of Jace. Clary is petite, beautiful, and red-headed. Clary is the best friend of Simon, and relies on him to be in constant communication with her in the novel when she infiltrates the scheme being orchestrated by Sebastian and Jace. Clary carries tremendous guilt with her in the novel for what has happened to Jace, from the time of his resurrection to his being taken over by Sebastian. Clary is worried not only for Jace’s safety from the forces of evil, but from the forces of good as well. Even though Jace is not in his right mind, his association with evil has made him a wanted Shadowhunter. Clary’s whole motivation is to make sure Jace is safe and free.
