Chapter 16 Summary

Heather's schoolmates cannot say what happened to Heather. When Simon finds out that Heather is missing, he promises himself that he will be good to her after they get her back. At Kit's, Simon and the police find just the students. One of the policemen asks if anyone took Kit and Eve to the boat, and Kevin says that he did. They ask if Heather was with them, and Kevin says that she was not. Eve was worried about disappointing Heather by missing their weekend visit. Eve told Kevin to deliver candy to Heather on Sunday. She left him a note, which says that Heather can choose their next outing. Simon is emotional. Everyone in Knockglen knows about Heather. Paccy Moore says that ransom is not a likely motive because everyone knows about.....
