In Knockglen, things are showing signs of change. Clodagh pressures Peggy to keep the shop open for lunch and hire another worker. Fonsie does not like the cold Mrs. Kennedy and thinks Clodagh should compete with her. Mrs. Healy thinks that Sean should have a backup plan in case Benny leaves Knockglen. Also, Mother Francis is trying to improve the cottage. She knows she should not put the home before her calling, but she is doing it for Eve. Mother Francis wonders how the dance went last night. Kit called and told her that Eve looked great, and the nun wishes that Eve did not have to borrow anything. Because of Mother Clare, they cannot have Kit for Christmas.
After learning about Benny's date with Jack, Eve keeps saying excitedly that she told Benny.....
