Betrayal

As the novel begins, Kylie is pining after Lucas. Lucas was Kylie’s boyfriend, but she learned at the end of a previous novel that he was engaged to another werewolf. After seeing Lucas go through the engagement ceremony and kiss this other girl, Kylie left Shadow Falls and Lucas behind. In this novel, however, Kylie has returned to Shadow Falls because her nemesis Mario is thought to be in the area.

As Kylie readjusts to being at Shadow Falls, she finds herself constantly coming into contact with Lucas. Also, friends of Lucas keep pulling her aside and telling her that Lucas never cheated on her and she should take him back. This causes Kylie to wonder if the fact that two of her previous boyfriends slept with other girls is the reason she is reluctant to take Lucas back.
