Chameleon Compound

Kylie is staying with her grandfather and great-aunt on the chameleon compound when the novel begins. This compound is a hidden community where the chameleons hide from the FRU and other supernaturals because of past problems with the FRU. Kylie has learned a great deal about her abilities here. When Burnett comes to take her back to Shadow Falls, Kylie realizes that only Shadow Falls feels like home.

Shadow Falls

Shadow Falls was only a summer camp when Kylie began going there, but it has since turned into a boarding school. Shadow Falls, run by the fae Holiday, is a place for supernatural children. It is back to Shadow Falls where Kylie goes after learning Mario is in the area and has attacked one of her friends.
