Summary

Holston translates a response from the satellite that says they are forbidden from entering the area. He tells the satellite that they are responding to a distress call, but it calls them a biological hazard. Karst insists that they send drones to the planet. Holstein reads that the planet was part of the Exaltation program which was called a sin by the Old Empire. The satellite destroys the drones before they reach the planet and they realize that it can vaporize the Gilgamesh. When Holsten sends back the same distress signal, the satellite returns a complex transmission which is decoded as a new, unrecognizable female voice.
