Summary

Doctor Avrana Kern looks down at a planet that she help create 20 light years from earth on her ship known as the Brin 2. She calls this planet Kern’s World and believes it is the future of mankind. As she gives a rehearsed speech to her crew, she thinks of the rebellion on earth by the Non Ultra Natura (NUN) group who are staunchly against space colonization and scientific evolution. She also analyzes schematics of their ship, including a barrel of monkeys and a nano virus that - over the course of 30 to 40 generations - will mutate the monkeys to think and act more like humans.
