Chapter Five Summary

For the first week that Seth rented the space above her, Dru seldom saw him. One day, after hearing him arrive, she takes a shamrock plant upstairs for him. Two skylights had already been installed, and the third would be completed that day, he tells her. She turns and her eye is caught by a painting of wild foxglove. She openly admires it, and he begs her to just stay where she is, grabbing for a piece of charcoal. He instructs her to just keep looking at the foxglove painting as he furiously sketches, offering to pay her for her time.
