Chapter Four Summary

Dru drives back to the shop and Seth takes her arm as he walks her to the stairs. She leaves the door open when they go in, but quickly realizes she needn't have worried. His mind is entirely somewhere else. He stands at the window, muttering to himself about light and space. He asks her if she has any objections to skylights, if he bears the cost and installation, and she can't think of any. They agree with a handshake and he promises to bring the funds necessary in the morning. The next morning, she gets up slowly, appreciating that it is Sunday morning.
