Pages 354-411 Summary

Idaho retreats within Mentat abilities, and Murbella is pulling away, breaking entangling bonds. Idaho is shocked when Murbella demands sex as though it is her last chance for ecstasy and hopes it brings the Sisterhood another baby. Odrade reassures Idaho that every woman goes through adjustments after the agony. Idaho dreams about the designs of weapons and wakes up and records the designs. He wonders about people strong enough to drive out the Honored Matres. He is stupefied, until he sees Odrade's fragile plan, which deprives him of Murbella.
