Summary

In Chapter 26, a chapter narrated by a third person narrator, Akos awakened in the hospital. Ori was standing over him. She told him that he was dropped off at the Shissa Hospital. When Akos woke the next time, he worried about what had happened to Cyra. He opened his eyes to discover his sister, Cisi, standing there. She was surprised she was able to cry because her currentgift was making people feel at ease. Akos determined his gift overshadowed everyone’s gifts. Cisi explained to him that he was chained to the bed because he had been wearing Shotet armor when he arrived. The chancellor, Ori’s sister, had asked them to take care with him. He assured Cisi that he was not going to hurt anyone.
