Chapters 3 & 4 Summary

After a long day of hiking, the teenagers rest for a few hours, sleeping in shifts, and wake at 5:00 am for breakfast. Ellie takes a walk to start her morning, marveling at how beautiful nature can be, even in the middle of a war.
