Summary

The chapter begins with Irina intending to impress her new guitar teacher, Jasn, with the chords she learned from the Internet. The events of the chapter are from Irina’s perspective, and the audience learns that she is disappointed when her teacher tells her that they will be working on scales, since anyone can learn chords easily. Irina enjoys learning the G scale during the lesson, and plays Jasn the song she wrote earlier in the week while they wait for Karl to pick her up.
