Chapters 7 and 8 Summary

In Chapter 7, Schneider and Kovacs have been in the capital city of Landfall for two weeks. Dressed in their Wedge uniforms, they cross the bridge. After assessing the open area around the tower, they cross back over the bridge.

Dressed in civilian clothing, Schneider and Kovacs are acting as security for Wardani, who is acting as an artist. They are meeting with an art promoter because they are interested in selling Wardani's work. After selling the work, the three head to a café to wait for a shuttle they were waiting to arrive at the promoter's office. Kovacs bombs the shuttle and goes up the stairs to the promoter's office. He kills the soldiers in the promoter's office. Kovacs cuts the cortical stacks from the spinal cords of the soldiers and leaves.
