Summary

In "Sokoto," Dantala travels via lorry to Sokoto. One of the back tires comes off and the lorry crashes into a bush. One of the passengers is killed. Dantala regrets that he learned the man’s name. Dantala takes another lorry into Sokoto. He realizes that he has Banda’s money in his pocket. It is the most money he has ever seen. He goes to visit a doctor. The injection that the doctor gives him causes him to throw up.

Dantala visits a mosque where they are handing out free food. Dantala knocks down a little boy while rushing to get food and decides to share one of the two packs he got with him. He discovers that rushing to get the food he dropped the money. He falls asleep again in the mosque and wakes to hear...
