Summary

In Chapter 13, Leopard has left the party, and Tracker has successfully located the boy via his scent and Tracker’s vision. The boy is quite far away. Tracker gives this information to Sadogo, but that very night, soldiers detain them in the streets of Kongor as murderers. Sadogo used to be an executioner, and Tracker has a warrant for killing Belekun. They are imprisoned and questioned by Mossi, a prefect of the Kongori army. Mossi decides to let them go. Mossi informs them that the king of a southern kingdom has apparently been struck by another bout of madness, as he has suddenly raised armed forces to challenge neighboring kingdoms on thin pretenses.
