Gaia Stone

Gaia Stone is the main character of the novel. Gaia is a sixteen year old girl who has grown up outside the walls of the Enclave. This life was a good one thanks to the love and support of her parents, but Gaia wonders what her life would have been like had she been advanced to be raised inside the walls of the Enclave. Gaia was unwanted by the Enclave, however, because of a scar on her face. Gaia has always believed this scar was the result of an accident, but later learns that her parents inflicted the burns intentionally because they could not bear to lose a third child to the Enclave.

After Gaia's parents are arrested by the Enclave, Gaia begins to realize that the Enclave is not as benevolent as she always thought. Gaia sneaks into the Enclave and discovers that the Enclave puts...
