Chapter 40

In Chapter 40, Reid wonders if he should ask Emma to forgive him. He thinks of the way that Brooke treated him. He had believed that she was sleeping with other people at the time that she got pregnant. He isn’t even sure if the baby is his. He believes Brooke was at fault as she lied to him, getting him to tell her that he loved her. Meanwhile, Emma’s father calls to find out exactly what is going on with her. He becomes almost angry telling her that he can’t ignore the gossip that he has been hearing if she needs help. He asks if she is pregnant.
