Chapter 19 Summary

Mama and Bone go to Alma's house. Alma has been throwing a crazy fit because Wade won't let her have another baby. He told her she's ugly. As Mama gets Alma calm, Bone watches them and notices how much alike they are. Mama later tells Bone that she looks like Alma and that she's going to be as pretty as Alma was when she was younger, or maybe prettier. Bone doesn't say anything, and Mama comments on how Bone is always so quiet. Mama says she can tell when Bone is mad because she gets a storm cloud look on her face, but if the look isn't there, she doesn't know what Bone is thinking. Bone then says that she's waiting for Mama to go home to Glen. Mama asks Bone to come.....
