Bone is now ten, and the family is moving again. Glen moves the family far across town so that they rarely see Granny or the aunts. Glen has a new job, but it's not going as well as he had hoped. Mama keeps saying that Glen loves Bone, but Bone doesn't think it seems like he loves her when his hands have been all over her recently. He threatens her not to run in the house, and one day she and Reese are caught running inside.
