Chapter 4 Summary

The spring that Mama marries Glen has thunderstorms every afternoon and rolling clouds that hang in the foothills. The stormy weather symbolizes the stormy relationships to come. Granny says that this isn't the time for someone to get married. After the wedding, Bone notes that there is only one good wedding picture of Glen.
