Chapter 13, - Four to Go Summary

John Winter and Emil Saxo arrive back at the hut to find it restocked. They realize that men from Kurtal have been there, but they don't know why. Saxo sees six packs and bellows about trickery. He becomes enraged, thinking the Kurtal guides are trying to take the mountain from him. Captain Winter tries to calm him down. Both men try and figure out why the Kurtal guides went out without their packs. Saxo again suspects a trick of some sort. Then Franz walks in, with Teo and the rest of the guides.

Franz asks where Rudi is, and the captain replies that he should be with them. There is confusion as they swap stories. Franz is angry with the captain, but the captain explains that he sent Rudi down.....
