Chapters 25 and 26 Summary

Mattie looks gorgeous and John makes no secret of his feelings. Mattie delegates chores for everyone, and Kyra makes a point of asking Mike if he'll take care of her. He assures her he will. They throw the Frisbee around put music into a CD player. When one of Mattie's favorite songs comes on she dances and Mike is lost. He finally admits to himself that he loves her and nothing else matters. He looks around to see that she is having that effect on all of them. Mike takes Kyra to bed, and again she asks him if he will look after her. He assures her that he will and turns to find Mattie in the doorway. He kisses her, and tells her how he feels about her, promising to use the key she left for him that night. Mattie...
