Part 3, Chapter 7 "This is John Galt Speaking" Summary

Dagny's doorbell rings at 10:00 a.m., after she has worked until 4:00 a.m. James is there to tell her that Hank Rearden is gone. Dagny laughs. James also says that Hank took some clothing and what he had in his apartment safe. This is a national catastrophe and a fatal blow to the country's morale and economy. Dagny must make Hank come back. Dagny says even if she could, she would not. She tells James to leave. Hank is free and out of their reach. There is still a chance to win, but she must be the only victim. Hank sends her a letter. "I have met him. I don't blame you. H.R." Dagny stares at the letter a long time before she realizes that those in Atlantis...
