Part 3, Chapter 3 "Anti-Greed" Summary

Drs. Stadler and Ferris are at Project X's demonstration on an Iowa plain. Grandstands face a farmhouse miles away. A small, squat, stone building with barred windows is nearby. Two men seat Ferris in the front, as intellectuals fill most of the stands. The only person Ferris knows is Dr. Pritchett. Ferris leads the press group towards Stadler and reveals that Stadler made this demonstration possible. The State Science Institute remains dedicated to the good of humanity. Mr. Thompson, the Head of State, and Wesley Mouch arrive. Dr. Stadler sees a herd of goats at the farmhouse. The goats are staked at intervals. Ferris says Project X or "Xylophone" involves sound vibrations that nothing can withstand. As the spectators watch, harmonics demolish the structures and the goats. Stadler feels that.....
