Asterix

Asterix is a Gaul warrior. He is a very small guy, but because he takes Getafix's potion for strength, he is superhumanly strong. Asterix's strength comes from the potion, but his intelligence and cunning come from within him. He is friends with Obelix and Getafix. He is the hero of the story.

Asterix defeats four Roman soldiers single-handedly when he encounters them in the woods. When he sees the Romans leading a Gaul in chains, he rescues the Gaul and defeats the soldiers. Asterix welcomes Caligula Minus into the village and introduces the spy to Chief Vitalstatistix and Getafix. He convinces the druid to allow the stranger to try their strength potion. When the Chief declares that it is time for revelry, Asterix dances with Caligula Minus and pulls off the spy's fake mustache. Asterix is unfortunately unable to catch the spy.
