Chapter 16 through 18 Summary

In chapter sixteen, Rayford and the Tuttles arrive at LaHavre and pick up two rental cars, Rayford and Dwayne in one and Trudy taking their belongings to the hotel in the other. David continues to try to reach Rayford with the new information that Hattie is actually being held in Brussels and that Bo's brother is dead, killed by GC forces, but Rayford's phone is turned off in his luggage. Trudy turns it on out of curiosity and answers David's call. He instructs her to tell Rayford to call off the effort to find Hattie and she heads to the address Rayford had given as where Bo said Hattie is staying. Rayford is met by a man he believes to be Bo's brother but who is really a GC peacekeeper. Just as he enters the room, Trudy rushes in, screams at...
