Chapters 10 through 12 Summary

In chapter ten, Mac arrives in Johannesburg. His injuries are painful but he's able to function. They quickly fall under attack and Mac is unable to get the plane back in the air because the aircraft is completely shut down when the attack occurs. He does manage to blow hot exhaust onto some of the attackers so that they have a few minutes to try to prepare for the next attack. Members of the crew fall victim to the gunshots. Leon yells for a gun but Mac points out that "your boss" doesn't allow possession of weapons. Despite this law, Mac has a small handgun in the cockpit but knows it isn't enough to face down the attackers.
