Faith writes a letter to her mother announcing she has gotten an interior decorating degree. Wade takes her out to dinner and Faith tells him a story about her childhood that leaves him angry with her mother. Faith does not like this, feeling as though it is only okay for her to be angry with her mother. When they return home, Faith finds Beau crying in his room. Faith does not know what to do with this and finds herself turning her back on her own child.
