Chapters 24-26 Summary

Harry and Edgar meet with Elias' investigator, Jenkins Pelfry. Pelfry tells Harry that the news has announced that the police have a suspect in the Elias killing. Harry calls and speaks to FBI agent Lindell and learns that they have brought in Sheehan based on a threat Sheehan made against Elias during a deposition in the Dobbs case. Harry believes Sheehan is innocent and Lindell is wasting his time, but Lindell feels that they have to investigate every lead, no matter how small. Harry returns his attention to Pelfry and explains that they have been following his investigation into the Kincaid murder and want to know what his interest in the carwash is. Pelfry shows Harry and Edgar the receipts he got from the carwash, explaining that Elias gave him a group of license plate numbers to match to the receipts...
