Langdon and Vittoria fly toward Rome. Langdon is horrified that the antimatter threatens not only human life, but also the world's largest art collection at the Vatican Museum. Vittoria asks him if he believes in God. He replies that he wants to believe. She says that faith is universal, although the specific methods are arbitrary. She asks how he became interested in the Illuminati, and he tells her that it was when he learned the dollar bill was covered with Illuminati symbolism, including the pyramid.
