Summary

In Chapter 13, narrated by Lyla, Lyla thought her dad was trying to ruin her life when he told her they had a meeting with the Brownings the following day. It made her feel better when he said it was Nina’s idea.

Lyla noticed how carefully her father prepared for the Brownings’ visit. When Finch and Nina arrived, Finch apologized and asked if he could talk to Lyla alone. Tom and Nina agreed.
