Chapters 13 and 14 Summary

Driving through Texas and long and hard. Ted wants to stop at every tourist trap, but Hollywood and Maybe just want to get to California to start their new lives. Maybe thinks about how much you can learn about a person on a long road trip. About 150 miles outside of LA, Maybe and Ted break it to Hollywood that there is no Carla and they need to stay with him in the dorm for a few days. Ted gets on the phone with Paaw and starts narrating everything they see. Hollywood mutters about being taken advantage of and Maybe and Ted look at each other because they didn't think Hollywood knew they were using him to get to LA. Maybe starts to panic about where they are going to live, how they will earn money and about finding her father.
