Chapters 9 and 10 Summary

Maybe wakes up in the middle of the night with Jake on top of her groping her and trying to rape her. Maybe tries to fight back but Jake is too strong for her. Chessy walks in and catches Jake. Maybe is happy to see her mother until Chessy blames Maybe for trying to sleep with Jake. While Jake and Chessy are arguing in the kitchen, Maybe gets up, gets dress and leaves the house.

Maybe shows up at Ted's front door at 3 am and Maah lets her in, thinking Chessy is drinking again. The next morning, Maybe wakes up with bruises all over her body and she is sore.
