Summary

In Chapter 5, Mia is still thinking about her fight with Jenna when she arrives at the therapist's office. The office is all white with white carpet and oversized chairs. There's no one waiting and it's completely silent. Mia is afraid to talk loudly and asks her mother if they are being videoed. Her mother reassures her about that and that she and Jenna will make up.

The therapist is named Ms. Finn and she says she is a therapist but not a doctor. She asks to talk to Mia alone first. She asks Mia questions, such as whether the colors are there when Mia gets mad at her parents and whether Mia feels left out because she's the middle child of the family. Ms. Finn says some children create elaborate ways of getting their parents' attention. Mia realizes this is yet another person...
