Tomasina “Tommy” Daulair

Tomasina (called Tommy by a majority of the cast) is Morty’s former assistant. She is an older woman, as she believes Nick is young enough to be her child. She is very meticulous but a tad awkward around new people. At the beginning of the novel, she struggles with completing Morty’s will and believes that he left her too much to do. However, as she builds friendships with the other characters - especially Nick and Merry - she begins to accept Morty’s death. At the end of the novel, she finishes everything in Morty's will and even opens a practice with Morty’s former lawyer Franklin.

The most interesting thing about Tommy is that she is the only character who physically interacts with every other character in the novel (excluding minor characters like Sol and Andrew). She has a weird relationship with her...
