Summary

In Part 7, Chapter 1, the Night Market is alive with activity the day before the Games. Lila goes to see Calla at The Wardrobe. Lila, though in disguise, is recognized quickly by Calla. Lila collects the black demon mask that Call has improved by adding metal and elegant touches to. The mask is now designed to fasten around the throat, to protect the neck. Meanwhile, Kell gets ready for the competitors’ banner reception. Emery comes to see Rhy. Rhy feels nervous around Emery. They begin kissing, but are interrupted by the bells signaling the beginning of Banner Night.

In Part 7, Chapter 2, Kell goes to find Rhy, as Rhy is not present to go to the reception. As Kell nears the rooms he and Rhy share, Emery emerges. Kell is not thrilled to see Emery. Kell reminds Emery that if Emery breaks Rhy’s heart...
