Summary

Chapter 33

Gamache and Emilie meet for coffee. She tells him about the Christmas Eve berating that CC gave to Crie. She recounts sadly that no one intervened. They also speak about God and finding God in the world and people around them. They speak about the Arnot case and how Gamache prevented the superintendent from killing himself and two others, which would have added victims to his list. Gamache only wants justice to be done.
