Summary

In Chapter 11, Gamache and Lemieux next talked to Ruth about CC. Ruth reasoned that CC was cruel and insensitive but also believed there was a reason she was that way. Ruth told the two that Em’s team was losing the game when someone shouted out that there had been an accident. Ruth used her status as fire chief to get through the crowd to the accident.
