Chapters 30 - 32 Summary

In Chapter 31, The dog, reverting to his identity as Bailey tries to jump into Ethan's lap. He loves the feel of the old man's hand on his face. The old man peers at him and asks him who he is and why he's so skinny. He puts the dog outside and tells him to go home but the dog barks so much he brings a pan of succulent food. When Ethan comes out the next day he's surprised that the dog is still there. A truck drives into the driveway. It's the policeman who searched for the dog at the dog park. Ethan asks the dog to jump into the truck and because it's his beloved boy he does what he is told. Ethan asks the man what will happen and the man tells him a black Lab will be adopted...
