Chapters 5 - 9 Summary

In chapter 5, Toby wakes up still remembering Spike's fury but then he realizes that he is a puppy again in a new place. He now has light-colored fur, long legs and has seven brothers and sisters. He is reincarnated as a Golden Retriever and begins his adventures in this reincarnation.

Toby is now a Golden Retriever with seven brothers and sisters. He lives in a cage with a cement floor. He is now experiencing a new life and the question of his purpose enters his mind again. What is he supposed to do? He discovers that there are other puppies in the kennel in cages. and wonders about them too. He compares the man who feeds him to Carlos and Bobby in his last lifetime. The man isn't friendly or interested in any of the dogs like they were.
