Chapters 46 - 50 Summary

After Wes leaves, Melanie decides that that safest course of action would be for them to leave. She cautions Kevin not to open the door, and goes down to the parking garage to exchange license plates with another car. While she is down there, a tenant returns, parks and goes inside. He doesn't see her, but he closes her only access back into the apartment. She goes outside and spends what feels like a long time buzzing the suite before Kevin finally lets her in. They leave Wes a note explaining that they will call, and go down to the car, but another vehicle blocks their exit with an irate woman who claims it is her parking space. She calls the manager, and insists she won't pay for the month. Kevin offers to pay, but they are let off, and just...
