Chapters 16 - 20 Summary

Abe has the impression that Elaine affected Paul's witness statement. Though he is not sure of Kevin's guilt or innocence, he wants to avoid a witch hunt. Loretta calls after she finds out that Abe is working the case but the conversation is brief. The Mayor arranges for Loretta to have a temporary office at City Hall.

Kevin calls his friend Wes who does not seem to have seen the news yet. They make small talk instead. Loretta joins Elaine in her office and they sit down to a brown bag meal Elaine had packed.
